Our awesome adventure to Malibu Creek State Park!

Even though I've been to Malibu Creek about 3 times already, I failed to notice the beauty it holds and where the trail actually ends! Brad and I decided to drive over there in the morning and take a moderate hike. Little did we know what we would get into!

When we first got to the park, we had a short hike to our main destination, which is the "pool" area. Here are some photos I took during the walk:

Malibu creek is known for their "cliff jumping" area, where familes and friends can hangout and jump off huge rocks into a body of water. Here are some photos of the area:

Brad and I were feeling even more adventurous, and we saw some people rock climbing! We didn't have any belay equipment with us, but we practiced our technique on some horizontal rocks.
Here are some photos of the climbing:

Then we took a little lunch break after about 3 hours of climbing up and down steep rocks:

Once we continued the trail it became more and more difficult. We almost finished the four bottles of water we brought, the heat was getting to us, and our feet were freezing. Let me explain, there is a creek that runs along the trail leading to a huge dam, and behind it is a lake. At a few points during the hike we had to take off our shoes and walk or run across the freezing water. Luckily, a lot of hikers were there to give us some pointers.

We also found a cave!

Extras:

Over all, it took us about five hours to finish the entire adventure. (Which included hopping a fence at the end)
